40 acres and a mule has long been the motto for reparations in America. While our country has far advanced beyond that being a means for an immediate aid in the playing field for US citizens being even, for a lot us, it would still help. Land and who owns it has been an important key in societies lorded by capitalism. In South Africa, more than a few white farmers got quite the shock when it was ruled the land they’d stolen and have been profiting from would no longer be theirs. Its hard not to smile hearing stories like this, where those wronged actually are being righted. Read the full story here.
